Chip & Joanna Gaines Finally launch Magnolia Network

With the launch of Discovery Plus yesterday, America’s sweethearts and former Fixer Upper reality television stars Chip and Joanna Gaines full suite of reality shows is now available. Originally they planned to launch their own Magnolia television network on October 4th, But, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple postponed the launch because of production shutdowns. Then with the popularity of streaming services such as Disney Plus and HBO Max, they opted to slow release their content with the new streaming service from Discovery Networks.

The Magnolia network is now set to debut in later part of 2021 as a rebranding of Discovery’s DIY Network and the Gaines’ have already revealed details of original series that will premiere on the channel. Here’s a list of some other Magnolia content which is previewing on Discovery Plus:

  • “Road to Launch,” featuring intimate conversations between the Gaineses and various talent from the upcoming Magnolia Network programming slate.
  • “Courage to Run,” a documentary which chronicles a fortuitous meeting that inspired Chip to train for and complete his first marathon.
  • Premiere episodes from 10 upcoming Magnolia Network original series.
