NBA star Chris Paul has invested in media management software Greenfly and joined the company as a strategic partner. Paul invested in Greenfly’s $8.4 million fundraising round alongside other investors such as Verance Capital, Higher Ground Labs, DD Venture Capital, SW19 Ventures, and Elysian Park Ventures.
Greenfly’s software distributes relevant photos and short-form videos to its clients—which span athletes, teams, and leagues—to then be published to the client’s social media channels. Greenfly was founded by former MLB slugger Shawn Green and added integration with video editing software Grabyo last year.
“For athletes like Chris Paul, Greenfly has become their media lifeline. It has given him a continuous feed of photos and videos of him on the court he can share on his social media channels without IP infringement,” Green said in a statement.
