The Canadian rapper, owner of October’s Very Own (OVO), an umbrella company for his clothing line, record label and radio station, has taken Australian accessories brand Bellroy to court. According to OVO’s file suit, Bellroy has allegedly altered its “stocky, hunched-over owl” logo to mimic OVO’s owl. OVO claims Bellroy “changed the design of the owl by altering its posture, width, wings and feet in order to blatantly mimic the OVO owl.” It also claims that by placing the owl on footwear, Bellroy is competing with its “core business” of apparel.

Since then, fashion has been the company’s biggest source of revenue and was projected to generate US$50 million in sales in 2019. All in the Canadian rapper’s net worth has been estimated at US$150 million.
