Jay-Z has invested in at-home fitness company LIT Method through his venture capital firm, Marcy Venture Partners. The investment was part of a LIT Method’s new funding round, which also included former MLB All-Star Adrian Gonzalez.
LIT Method launched last May with its water-powered rower built for at-home strength training. The machine can also attach other equipment such as resistance bands. Users can affix their own tablet to the rower to watch live and on-demand workouts that span strength training, cardio, pilates, barre, and physical therapy. The rowing machine costs $1,750 while a subscription to LIT’s app for online classes costs $24.99 per month or $240 per year.
Jay-Z previously invested in at-home climbing machine CLMBR, while his wife and fellow music icon, Beyonce, has a partnership with Peloton.
