Jeff Bezos, Drake Among Investors in Sports Media Company Overtime

Sports media company Overtime raised $80 million in its latest fundraising round, thanks to Bezos Expeditions, rapper Drake, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and several NBA stars, including Devin Booker, Trae Young and Klay Thompson, reports CNBC.

Based in Brooklyn, Overtime distributes original sports content through social media channels such as YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. According to the company website, Overtime boasts over 1.5 billion views per month with over 40 million followers across seven platforms.

The company stated that it has raised more than $140 million to date. This latest round of funding comes a month after the company announced Overtime Elite, a basketball league for teenagers ages 16 to 18 that allows them to earn at least $100,000 per year, reports CNBC.
