NBA star Kevin Durant and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. have invested in investment strategy app Titan as part of the company’s $58 million Series B round. The funding round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and will be used to help grow Titan’s new mobile cryptocurrency investment platform.
Titan’s soon-to-launch crypto platform will allow users to open portfolios managed by Titan’s in-house crypto investing team. The company says it aims to become am asset management firm similar to BlackRock or Fidelity, but its platform is built for investors of the digital age.
Also contributing to Titan’s investment round were General Catalyst, BoxGroup, Ashton Kutcher’s Sound Ventures, Will Smith, and Jared Leto. Durant maintains a large investment portfolio through his Thirty Five Ventures fund, which also invested in financial planning app Brigit earlier this year.
